Another newbie question.
Is there a way I can produce a bill-of-materials from a sketchup drawing?

Not automatically from the web versions.

What kind of project are you working on and what sort of BOM are you after?

I am sketching a pole barn and want to produce a BOM for price quotes from lumber retailers.

In the free web version you’d pretty much need to go through the model manually and write notes on paper. If you use a desktop version you could use a CutList extension to get what you need and with SketchUp 2020 you could use the Report Generator to make the BOM. If you use components for the parts you’d need to order, you could include info such as SKU or manufacturer’s part numbers and include them in the report.
