Batch export high (8k pixels+) resolution images than default

I have a document with around 30 scenes that I’m trying to export in 8k or higher resolution for printing. The default 2d export workflow allows up to a 9999x3638 which is sufficient quality for our size arch prints, though not a standard ratio.

option 1: manually go through the 2d export process: file>export>2d>type name of file/page number>save. Good resolution, very labor intensive

option 2: export animation - max resolution is 4096 on the width which is NOT sufficient. very pixelated prints.

How can I either batch option 1 or increase the resolution of option 2?

You could upscale the results of option 2 with third party software like Topaz Labs. Doubling the pixel count in each dimension isn’t a big jump and shouldn’t result in terrible artifacts. This isn’t video is it? Would using Layout be a pathway to automate 30 still images in 8k? I’m not enough of an expert with LO to be sure, but maybe @DaveR knows.

Using LayOut would be an option. There’s an extension in the Extension Warehouse which will create a single viewport on a page for each scene in the model. After the viewports are established and set up as needed, .png images can be exported.

There are extensions that batch export all scenes in a file as images. Here is one I have used that can automate your process while keeping high resolution.
