Backgrounds

Hi. I’m using Layout 2021 on a Windows 10 PC.

If an imported SU file displays a white background I can usually switch that off by un-checking the background box under styles.

Today that doesn’t work.

SU files the same as they have ever been.

Any ideas please?

Can you share the LO file so we can see what you’ve got?

I’ll look. Hang tight.

Hi Dave R.

Just imported the drawing again and all is well.

It is the 13th after all.

Many thanks for your time.

This is what I see on the last sheet. I added the gray rectangle on a temporary layer under the viewport.

It’s rather strange. I sent the file to a new LO project and the background isn’t displayed.

It would appear that something has gotten balled up.

Thanks anyway

Stay safe.

I was just about to do the same after trying some other things. Glad you got it sorted.

Yes. Friday the 13th falls on a Thursday this month.

On a slightly different topic, I think you would be well-served to follow the rule about leaving raw geometry untagged. There is lots of geometry that is tagged.

It would also be a good idea to make better use of groups and components. As it stands there’s a tone of loose geometry. The style you are using isn’t doing you a great service either with its matching front and back face colors.
