Auto-purge is wiping out my tags when saving a file from a template

checked = purge all on save
unchecked - no purge on save

easy to understand, easy to change. rather than “do want us to ask you if you want to set your preferences to auto-purge?” which is effectively what the “purge unused” is asking..

The text box is a good thing for many many many users. We’ve seen too many files over here that are massively bloated.

Advanced users, the ones working with Condoc or D5+… are usually aware of the concept of purge. they can turn the auto prompt off and use tig’s purge instead

purging all the time is a bad idea. purging… never is a bad idea, there are enough files coming on the forum every day that can be purged 50+% to illustrate it.
the best solution ? I would say; offer to purge whenever people save, and allow them to pick one and just always go with it.
