Applying material to a group without getting into it?!

Hi everyone,

I am working on a project which is exported from Revit and I have to put some materials on objects and make some renders using Enscape.

The problem is that the model (a huge building file) was fully exploded and unable to work on it. I asked for another export from Revit in which objects ( like walls, counters, stairs, etc. ) are pretty grouped.

now I have a clean model which includes lots of groups and is fairly suitable to work with. However, I have a serious problem and that is when I want to add a simple material to, for example, a wall, I have to triple click and add the material and get out of the group and do the same process over and over again which is frustrating. Also, objects are not similar so creating a component and applying the material will not work.

I searched for a plugin to add materials to a group with one click and could not find it, but I am sure I have seen such a plugin before.

Does anybody know such a plugin or any other solution that works in this situation?

this is a tiny part of the big model. Just to show how many groups are there to be edited.

You need Thru Paint from Fredo6. SketchUp Plugins | PluginStore | SketchUcation. Note there are two extensions listed, You need both of them.

will try it right away

Oh mate,
Worked perfectly. Needed some clicks and all was good to go.
Thank you very much

If each group already has a color, you can just add the desired texture. No need to paint them again.
