This started on Friday or Saturday the libfredo 6 started popping up errors today it’s loaded without errors but non of the plugins are working, I’ve even made a mistake and deleted all sketchup data including all plugins I think I should reinstall sketchup pro 2021 or finally update it ![]()
First of all, LibFredo6 is a shared plugin library used by most of Fredo6’s plugins. It does not function on its own, but it is essential for the operation of other extensions (plugins) created by @Fredo6
Secondly, according to your forum profile, you are using SketchUp 2023; reinstalling SketchUp Pro 2021 won’t make much of a difference in this regard. Major versions of SketchUp are installed and operate independently of one another.
Thirdly, SketchUcation is currently temporarily unavailable due to technical issues. The SketchUcation extension is essential for managing the licenses of certain Fredo6 plugins. Although you didn’t specify what kind of errors started popping up, I suspect the issues might be related to this.
SketchUcation is up an running well again. If you are experiencing errors with SketchUcation or any extensions which rely on SCF licensing why would you post in another forum about this ? The logical thing to do would be to post in the SketchUcation forum - either in the thread specifically about an extension [say LibFredo6] or the SCF licensing thread more generally. That way you are much more likely to have someone see the post who can actually start a dialog and hopefully resolve your issues… However, saying you have an issue is a only tiny step towards solving it - so - what versions of everything are you using ? what were the error messages exactly ? what were you trying to do ? what was the Ruby Console output ? etc… All such things might help to fix your problem[s]…
As @dezmo points out, your profile says you have a Pro subscription with SketchUp 2023. It would be stupid to go back to SketchUp 2021. Why don’t you update to the current version?
Sketchucation is down saying their is a technical issue and am using the latest of fredo6 and thru paint their no errors today like I said I can open Thru paint but it’s not activating when I click on the tools all of fredo6 extensions are not activating but other extensions are working just fine![]()
The errors that were popping up are for fredo6 requiring an update or something
I kept getting those errors even after updating like I said today no errors showed up and it loaded all the plugins like I just installed them but their not activating when I try to use them even though the tool bars are showing maybe I’ll try waiting for sketchucation to be back up
It would be useful you indicate which errors are popping up.
Then, leave the Ruby console open to catch any error when you launch my plugins.
Finally, can you copy/paste the content of what is displayed in the Ruby console after invoking the meny Window > LibFredo6 Settings… > Fredo6 Plugins information for Sketchucation Support. This will help to diagnose whether the installation is correct and which is your configuration.
By the way, no need to reinstall Sketchup when there are problems with my plugins. This is independent.
SketchUcation is working fine for me ? Both through SketchUp extension and the web site.
You have not supplied any details or error messages that might help. And you have not contacted SketchUcation through their forum - where detailed help is much more likely to be had…
If Libredo6 needs an update look in the SketchUp Extension-Manager and find its version, then look at the SketchUcation ExtensionStore inside SketchUp [or failing that] go the their website’s PluginStore page and see what version of LibFredo6 is available - install it if it’s newer - you can download the RBZ from the PluginStore and use the native Extension-Manager to install it, or the ExtensionStore within SketchUp can skip the download step and auto-install it for you. Restart SketchUp to see what happens now…
You are lucky that Fredo has passed by - you would have got a quicker response going directly to the SketchUcation forums… Follow his advice…
Sorry TIG, but not working for me. Tried in Chrome and Edge even after Cleared Cache, Cookies, and Site Data.
only the forum (https://community.sketchucation.com) load, but I cant log in, since it is direct me to https://sketchucation.com/login-form, and this shows the similar error message above.
This is most odd, many of us can log on without issue.
There has been considerable behind the scenes IT work to patch the PHP issues raised worldwide last week - but these should all be fixed by now…
I just retested and find that within SketchUp, and on www on Firefox it’s fine, but Chrome and Edge both now show the the site-down error ?? I’ll get IT back on to it, but it’s the weekend !
Hopefully everything is back to normal for all users and platforms.
A CloudFlare server overload was the ‘technical difficulty’ - fixed by the servers…
North-Korean/Russian/13yr-old hackers ?
Yea sorry I didn’t understand how the ruby console works but The error was scf license unitialization apparently I deleted the plugins folder which includes sketchucation and the scf license it’s fixed now
I’ve installed sketchucation all plugins are working thanks![]()
Solved now thanks
the error was scf license
From your previous post it sounded like the error was user induced.
