All plans have disappeared - Free version

Hi,
I have a Sketchup Free account, that I used this summer (and last time on November).
I logged myself in yesterday, and just found that all my work have disappeared.
I tried to log in with other emails, nothing found. I tried to change server location, nothing found. I tried to register to Trimble Connect to find it, and again, nothing found.

On my account page, I have “expired licence” dated from February 7th 2025. With a “contact the owner of the account to add modifications”, which seems strange considering that I am the owner of the account (yet I have a “deleted user” on the member page of my account, and I don’t know what it means, regarding the fact that I’m solo using that account).

So if anyone has the answer to my problem and knows how to retrieve my work, it would be a great help.

I got in touch with Trimble support, who told me to ask a question there, as they only answer to pro accounts.

Best
Lucas

Trimble accounts were moved to a new system recently. Some people have seen that their home screen isn’t showing recent models. All models in the web version are really stored in Trimble Connect, and so although they may have been cleared from the home screen, if you click on the Trimble Connect icon on the left, you should see your models.

The thing is that even when im clicking on the Trimble Connect, the folder was empty.
Thankfully I had a basic canvas of my plans stored on my computer, but all the modifications I did online have been lost…

In Trimble Connect, check which region you are set to:

I thought of a possible problem. Some time ago Trimble changed things so that you couldn’t create an account using additions to Google email addresses. Previously you could make a Trimble ID that is myname+sketchup@gmail.com, as a way perhaps to organize your incoming emails.

With the change to the new system, I wonder if that fails. It may be connecting you to myname@gmail.com, which also has a free entitlement, but would not have the models you had made with myname+sketchup@gmail.com.

I will check if that is a possible problem.

Alias email is considered as a seperate Trimble ID, just like apple id sign in with the option ‘hide my email’

I know! And it was useful when it worked. My worry is that the move to the new system would have closed down the existing account, and tried to create the same account in the new system. That might then fail.
