All my saved 3D models dissappeared!

I have used the free version of Sketchup for many projects for over 15 years. I logged in and I can’t find any of my old model… for the past 15 years. How can I find and access those?

The free web version of SketchUp hasn’t existed for 15 years so presumably you were using some version of SketchUp Make. In that case those files would be saved on your computer wherever you chose to save them. They wouldn’t have been saved in the Trimble Connect cloud storage.

If you are now wanting to open those old files using the current SketchUp Free, choose Open from Device and search your computer for the file you want to open.

Thank you for your response. Here’s more information. For many many years I used a version that I downloaded to my windows machine. In January 29, 2017 I signed up and a received a Trimble account.(I have the welcome email) Sometime between then and 2020 I started using the web-based application and I also uploaded all of the previously created files to my Trimble account. I also continued to create projects. No I can’t see any projects I created or uploaded prior to 2021. Any ideas?

It looks like I started to use the web version on September 24 of 2018. I created a lot of projects in 2018 & 2019. I saved them to Trimble so I had access to them from any compter. I am not able to locate any of those projects either.

There’s a lot of information there that youu should have provided upfront.

Usually when users aren’t seeing their files it’s because they’ve signed in with the wrong e-mail address or paassword. Another reason is because they are looking at “Recent Fles” not their Trimble Connect storage. Recent Files could be blank if you haven’t accessed any files recently or if you cleared your browser history. Click on Trimble Connect at the left.

In an incognito browser, head for connect.trimble.com and sign in with the same email address that received the invitation mail.
Then check the different pods (North America, Europ, etc)

Yes my apologies for not providing all of the information. The last hour or so I’ve been searching through my email and this is the timeline I found:
~9/24/2018 - Signed up for a Trimble account
~9/24/2018 - Received a “Welcome to Sketchup!” email giving me access to the webbased application.
~6/5/2020 - Recieved notification that the Classic license was going away.
~2/10/2021 - When trying to log in, my password didn’t work. I received a “Trimble Account Password Reset” email. I reset my password.
~2/10/2021 - I recieved another “Welcome to SketchUp” email. I say another because of the one I had originally created on 9/24/2018.

I created many projects between Sept 2018 and Feb. 2021. It appears that when I reset my password on 2/10/2021, that is when I no longer could see my prevous projects saved to Tremble in 2018-2020.

Dave, I really appreciate your help. I hope to get this figured out so I can retrieve my projects created between 2018 - early 2021.

@colin (a Trimble employee) might be able to look up your name @threeblakes in internal databases and find information about you and your on-line Trimble assets.

I did look up your account, and could only find the one from 2018. You did do a 30 day trial during 2021, but that was under the same email address. Can you make sure you’re signing in with the email address that you also use in the forum?
