Hmmm. Every now and then I DO experience that the “default level grid” is imposed when using the tools “bulk actions” or the “update scene” button…EVEN for scenes that I had prior set up with my desired level-grid style. Somehow my custom settings are not always saved?
By the way, the same has happened with column grids, too
Having said this…I cannot pinpoint when exactly this happens.
A minute ago, I made a test with my building elevations (they are the ones that troubled me before)… and their level grid stayed as intended (happy about this!)
I`ll keep observing and can provide more feedback when I gain some more experience.
I am having a performance issue with the autolabel function. Before the latest updates, it used to work very quickly, but now the process has become very heavy and is taking a long time to generate the labels.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a consequence of the latest updates?
Are you experiencing the slowdown when creating labels after pre-selecting objects and using bulk create, or when placing labels one by one without any pre-selection?
Also, does the issue occur with a specific type of label, or does it affect all label types?
Edited: turn on shadow while placing labels can make extreme long responses.
Wow, your question already gave me the answer: I wasn’t using the pre-selection. I was just clicking on ‘Auto create elements label’. Using pre-selection is working perfectly. Thanks!
I’ve been watching this extension, and really love all the features it has. Now, dimensions and annotations… wow. I’ve had a look at the dropbox paper manual and at several videos, and I’m almost sold.
But, one thing stopping me is not being able to do diagonal sections or elevations. I bet there’s a way, but I have not found it. I initially selected a section generated by the extension, and rotated it slightly, and tried updating the scenes but no go. Sections still showed as orthogonal, and the symbols for the rotated section were not generated / updated. I saw a clip showing different groups for gridlines, which could work for rotated grids, but, not for sections.
Hello, the key to create diagonal views (included section views) is the axes.
You need to place the axes aligned with the orientation you want first, then create scene.
And 5D+ will handle all annotations, dimensions and grids align perfectly with the (new) axes of the scene
You will flip the viewport of the ceiling scene in LayOut. Then stack with a viewport of a scene which is showing furniture, using Vector Rendering to be able see through
Can you make a video tutorial so that others and I can practice it? Because it’s not just the ceiling plan that’s the problem, the MEP plan is also there.
