5D+ Library - Manage SketchUp assets

Hi, I have replied to you in the email. This is a known issue in Mac OS and I’m trying to fix it.

It has been fixed in the next release.

Press Enter to confirm renaming is added to the next release.

Since I have not a Mac so I have not actually known what is happening. I’m trying borrow/buy a Mac to fix bugs of all my extensions related to Mac OS.

Noted, thanks for that!

Hi @Cyentruk - any chance of fixing that Mac-Active-Window bug soon? The plugin is not usable right now except for the first opened file. I need to restart Sketchup every time I want to use the library for another file. Should I make a screencast to show the problem better?

I 'll release a new version to fix this and add some new cool features. Maybe tomorrow.

Introduce new features: Edit Material.

You are certainly putting Live Components and Dynamic Components development pace to shame…

Ah - you’re back to your “figure it your yourself”-videos! I must admit, I don’t understand, what this color thing does. It looks fast though!

Looking forward to the update! That library will be so helpful to us!

It’s just that @Cyentruk 's library material editor is now on par with the sketchup native material editor but it also has the possibility of copy pasting hex color codes.

The way the library allows that is very cool.

Yeah, so much fun. I addict in writing code to make thing works.

I thought they had their reasons. Developers always want to release their products as soon as possible. Take Live Components, for example. It was one of the features I anticipated the most. But when it was finally released (after many years), I had already stopped using it. It lacked the intuitive nature of SketchUp, and it couldn’t use the scale tool. There was always a message saying “Connecting to server…”. Overall, the experience was poor. In my opinion, it’s a failed project from Trimble, although it might have been successful in business.

And some addition features compare with native material editor.

Cyentruk Please fix the “undo” function. After inserting the component into the model, if I press “undo” it doesn’t work.
Also, if the thumbnails in the component list in the dialog box are small, it is not very convenient to select a component by clicking only on the thumbnail. it would be nice if the “component selection” responded to the entire line in the dialog, such as the title (text).

Thank you for your suggestions.

Anyway, a small update but maybe useful, I think.

It’s only pick the color from other materials and cannot pick the color of the screen because it is a complex task with less needed so I decide not to involve.

Let’s play with painter. It’s an advanced painter when compare to native tool, because you can press CTRL while painting to paint directly on to faces, edges or deepest group/comp or top-level group/comp.

You can close the window of the dialog then reopen it to reflect changes.

Solved.

Not to solve because of my current ability still can not handle this in the code.

Solved.

So far this looks very solid! The only thing I really don’t get about this, is why Sketchup doesn’t work like this natively. This all seems so - obvious. :joy:

Anyway - thanks @Cyentruk for fixing yet another of Sketchups long-standing short-comings! This baby will be in use DAILY!
