The Sketchup/Pictionary battle was fun to do and a blast to watch.
Does anyone know if a recording of the SketchUp keynote will be posted somewhere? I’d like to share it with the rest of my company.
Here you go
@Justin TSE
Thank you!!
I’m watching it now.
Pretty happy with the mentions of both PBR materials and HDRI lighting integration!
Hopefully renderers like D5 and Enscape will read this in SKP properly and not have to add them in those tools.
(presumably it will)
yeah, same for twinmotion. I hope they upgrade their converting techs
What I have read on the internet is exactly what is advertised, with a few additional points that have not yet been revealed.
You’re a long way behind the times. Even SketchUp 2024 doesn’t have that feature yet.
He’s talking about the new things coming next year, in sketchup 2025
What @ateliernab wrote.
The future is looking pretty interesting!
Yeah, they were a little unclear in the keynote WHEN these features would actually be released. I’ve not actually seen an official announcement, but the assumption was that we’d see a lot of them in SketchUp 2025.
Great job at capturing the experience. I was so miffed when the bouncers at the Trimble party turned me away with my camera, so I had to go back and leave it in my room, and then found they let you in with your camera no problem.
That is such a bummer! I would have been gutted too.
wait… you had automated curtains ?
I had to open mine by hand, like a plebeian
(and I’m definitively keeping the ironing board trick up my sleeve for my next hotel stay…)
this is what frustrated me at 3DBC. I’m bad at names, but I’m used to avatars and forum names. I was introduced to EndlessFix on the first morning, but realised he was EndlessFix on day… 2? 3?
and seeing your video has me go “wait, THAT was X - Y - Z ?”
Yeah, that is exactly why I was compelled to take selfie with all the folks I know and have their names.
