2023 - Remote Desktop - SketchUp not opening

Trying to open SketchUp and Layout remotely via Remote Desktop and VPN.
I’m sure I have been able to open and work on SketchUp/Layout before recently.
I did upgrade to the latest 2023 this week though…working from work the earlier part of the week.
Now that I am at home I cannot open - getting this error.

" The following errors were found when launching SketchUp:

  • Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card. SketchUp requires that you use a hardware accelerated graphics card.

Unfortunately, these errors will prevent SketchUp from running.

See this Help Center article for more information."

I know this was a thing around the Covid era, but thought it was fixed.
What should I try to get it going?

The SketchUp Hardware and Software Requirements page still says, beneath Unsupported environments section …

Remote Desktop Connections - Due to hardware restrictions in shared environments we can’t reliably predict how SketchUp will perform. At this time SketchUp is not supported via a Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) on any platform.

Okay - a reboot from on the remote machine solved the problem.

Sorry for the false alarm.

Antoine
