2017 slow selection tool in education throughout our entire network

At our high school about half of our computers are experiencing the slow selection tool problem with the windows update. The network administrator says it’s unreasonable to debug each one of the machines since it is machine specific. Unfortunately, I am stuck with waiting until the next windows automatic update resolve this problem. Do you have any idea when this update might come, and how to somehow push it earlier?

But generally, emergency updates are released in the Microsoft Update Catalog before the get packaged up for the Monthly rollup updates.
