2015 Pro can't add license

Hi all,

Got a weird situation where I’m trying to add a license to a MacbookPro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB RAM, OSX 10.9.5) and the add license button is dead.

You get the Welcome to SketchUp menu, all the drop downs work. The top right Add License makes the License drop down work but then the big red Add License doesn’t do anything?

Any ideas gratefully received.

Recently uninstalled AVG antivirus and don’t have anything else installed that might mess with it.

Thanks,
Marc

is it a fresh install or an old installation migrated form an other/old system (including improper user rigths)?

If SU runs you may want try if the menu “SketchUp : License…” works:

It is a fresh install downloaded from the older versions sketchup site. We have two user licences with the users working on two computers each - one at work, one at home. The second user has removed one of her two licenses and wanted to run sketchup on her laptop. She used up the trial user time and so wanted to use the proper license but can’t input it.

• SketchUp Help Center : Contact Options

We are out of support contract so I don’t think they will help?

being a licensee with a valid license a tech. support concerning licensing issues as e.g. the product activation should be covered even if the maintenance runtime is expired… with upgrading to the latest version being an alternative workaround though (before doing this be aware of the enhanced system requirements of recent SU v2017).
