I inadvertenly deleted a folder containing several SketchUp models–and a folder containing dozens of seamless woodgrain images. I can live with the loss of the models, but I’d sure like to replace the textures. The ones I used to have were downloaded many years ago, and I don’t remember the source. So, can I get recommendations and links to woodgrain texture collections?

Did you look in the Trash to see if the folder and files are there to be recovered? Time Machine?
Any idea of the names of any of the materials? There are some in the 3D Warehouse.
I looked everywhere. The folder is absolutely, positively, permanently gone. I can recover many of the models from the 3D Warehouse, but the textures are gone, along with some models that I never intended to upload to the 3DW.
Do any of your Warehouse models have the textures? Could it be that the materials came from Sketchucation or the 3D Warehouse?

Do you not have some sort of ‘backup’ system enabled to auto-save key-locations to a remote-drive or the cloud ?
Having valuable assets like models or libraries of stuff in one place is a recipe for disaster… what if your HD died ?
