The program crashes and I open it again and oops. it destroys the line styles.. pretty deep. The image is fixed when I load the plan on a new base as a component.. it slows down the work. Is there any other solution?
could you share a file that causes problems ? that way we can rule out some things. hard to say if it’s the file, or SU, or something GPU related just by looking at photos…
This is still bugging me. What’s wrong? As the design progresses, the dotted lines disappear and I can’t get them to show up. I don’t want to redo the layout. I appreciate the help.

I opened the file with the wrong linetypes, selected all and pasted the contents into a new empty file. This brough the dashes back. @colin , could a developer look at the files @IA6598 Ilkka posted to have a hunch about what might cause the linetypes to lose their dashes?

I have been looking at the file, and can’t see what is different about it that explains the dashes being solid lines. The symptom shows in SketchUp 2021 as well, so it’s not a recent issue.
I will log a bug report, with the file as an example of the problem.

Yep, I know this, but I’m lazy and I don’t want to redo scenes… can I copy the old scenes into the new one easily?
IIRC you can copy camera settings with the Advanced Camera Tools. I think Eneroth wrote a scene copy / paste plugins. I’m sure there are others on SketchUcation and the Extension Warehouse.
The developers have been looking at this, and trying to come up with the best way to fix the issue if it happens. One thing they couldn’t work out is how the problem happened in the first place. If they knew how it happened they could fix the cause of the problem, rather than only repairing it afterwards.
Do you use any extensions that alter how tag dashes look, or can you think of what you were doing when they suddenly all started to look like solid lines?
It looks like you use 5D+ Auto Tag, does that have a feature that alters dashes?
I have 5D+ Auto Tag downloaded, but I don’t use it.. I have made the linetype changes in my Tags window
This error keeps happening, I don’t think I’m doing anything special. The dashed lines just disappear.
I have the same problem in other projects. By making a new scene and or changing the style I was able to get the dashed lines back once, I can’t do this again. Hope this helps
To temporary fix the issue while waiting a solution from SketchUp Team, you can use 5D+ Auto Tag to change the dashes, just click into the dash line, it will show a dashes list for you to choose from.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated
If you don’t use it uninstall it and see if the problem stops?
