Why can I not fill some of the shapes

Some of the shapes allow me to use the fill bucket tool, but some don’t allow it.

You need to have a closed polygon with edges. Then you can fill yhe area with paint bucket tool. Can you share your file?
By the way, please update your profile, you are not using SketchUp for School as it says.

Actually figured it out, thanks a lot for the reply though

You need to have a closed polygon with edges

And the endpoints delimiting the polygon shall be on the same plane.
