Which Sketchup version is best for me?

Hello everyone!
I’ve used SketchUp in school, but unfortunately, I’m not sure what version it is. And now I’m starting to need it at home, but I’m having problems figuring out which one I should get.
I’m an architectural design major, designing mainly floor plans and conceptual designs. I’m struggling to decide which version I should get that would be best for what I need. I was originally working with the free web version, but unfortunately, it started getting too slow for what I needed.
I know for the student versions you need to prove that you are registered in school, but I have no EDU email, and I’m not sure if that’s what I need.
If I could get a response back for recommendations, that would help greatly!

I understand that if you contact the reseller for EDU licenses and can show a document that proves your student status, they can serve you.
You will probably need the desktop version (Pro). It also comes with LayOut that is the best way to produce documents from your 3D models to do your assignments.
As to your performance concerns, remember to purge your models, and pay attention to the polygon count, especially if you add entourage elements from the 3D Warehouse.

So just to confirm by this you mean non EDU version, for $350 USD?

Do I have to Provide an edu email for these versions? or could I just provide that I am enrolled with a school

Follow the link that @KyleB gave you to Creation Engine. You’ll find all the information you need, including required documentation of student status - for ALL email domains - it doesn’t have to be .edu!
