When you have something selected (highlighted) all right click options are available in the small tool bar at the bottom of the screen, either immediately via visible icons, or I’m the three dot pop-out.
This is more a technique question, and you would do this the same way as on the desktop version. I would use groups to separate portions and then correct whatever needed to be corrected after pulling the groups apart
Thanks for replying. Shouting was due to frustration; no offense meant. Thanks for the face deletion tip.
But, I simply cannot found the Warehouse tools after downloading and importing into the Application. I’ve looked in SO many locations, but no. The Sketchup Pro book on Kindle was no help, nor were the tutorials. This seems something that should be simple. Doesn’t anyone have the answer?
We’re still waiting for you to clarify what you mean by Warehouse tools that you’ve downloaded. If you are referring to extensions you’ve downloaded from the Extension Warehouse, you’ve already been told several times that SketchUp Go doesn’t have any way to use extensions.
What do you mean by warehouse tools? Have you downloaded models of tools from the 3D Warehouse or you’re talking about plug-ins from the extension warehouse?
You were told already that sketchup on iPad doesn’t allow the installation of plug-ins, it has just native tools.
I had not seen yr replies, just notifications of a literal kind re: warehouse “tools”, which are correctly referred to as “extensions.” Thank you for bringing to my attention that Sketchup Go is a limited-use application. That this provides only for creative ‘basics’ which then have to be more fully realized on a desktop unit is more akin to driving an automobile with handcuffs on rather than the full experience is disappointing. But, I suppose, one should appreciate that even a limited-use application was ported to IPad.
You can always upgrade to the pro version paying just difference minus the time since your license started. When I upgraded from pro to studio y had just two weeks until the renovation of my license and I had to pay less than $20 for those weeks using studio version, of course after that I had to pay the full price of the studio license.
As what comes to modelling tools, anything that can be modelled can be modelled with the tools included in SketchUp Pro, Go or the iPad version, and amazing things have been done with them. Extensions only provide shortcuts to achieving some results faster.
Not to mention hundreds of years of product design and architecture that have been created before we had 3d modeling on a screen we can carry around with us…
Tools help. A good designer will create good work no matter the tools available.
