Dani’s SketchBook

I figure it’s time for a gallery. Everything I post in here will be done on the IPad using native tools, unless otherwise stated. Enjoy.

Comments/ questions welcome.

Start this off with some signs for a Blacksmith Shop. Fantasy/ cartoon setting.

Cartoon firetruck to assist on a 2D props design for a toddler’s tv show.

Who will do the animating for the show?

Thinking about it, maybe the show is live action, with cut out 2D props.

Like Blue’s Clues? Fun idea.
It’s a small company. They’re exploring a fire station concept. I think it sounds fun.

Before being at SketchUp I was a programmer since 1992. One of the many things I programmed was this mobile app:

This is amazing.

I love the part where the firetruck suddenly decides that the other guy’s truck is really really dirty and just starts spraying it with the hose.

It may have been Fireman Sam that decided that. The truck doesn’t have much aesthetic sense.

It’s nice to see someone pick up a tool and learn to use it well in a short time.

Well it’s not like I didn’t have a veritable butt-load of help.

Many a butt-load of help has been transformed into just a plain butt-load!
Not in this case.

Great stuff! Love the irregularity of the wood sign board pieces.

The Smithy.

This is a model that I did for fun, mostly to practice skills, but also to challenge the inference lines for organic looking shapes. They are snappy!

Hot ■■■■. You know, I know where I went wrong. I modeled them all from one long rectangle, and I made sure they were in order and then I had so much trouble with S (originally intended it to have round edges). I ended up deciding to skip S and do the others and come back to it. I never rearranged the idea that they weren’t still in the right order
