I am having problems with time management when it comes to modeling, 8/10 I only receive few images of jobsite and rely on google street scape for better building views.
But when it comes out to modeling the whole building it never looks like the actual building itself, and it’s very time consuming.
I also have a hard time with making my backgrounds look realistic, I use V-ray to render but it doesn’t always have that wow affect.
are there any recommendations on starting from scratch modeling?
That’s a big question. See if you can break it down into smaller pieces for better responses. Firstly, share some examples of your work and process breakdown so we can comment on specific parts of your workflow. Second, provide some time management examples. How long does it take you to complete a model? A render? I image it varies based on the project.
Also, while I use, prefer, and recommend V-Ray, there are other quicker rendering applications out there - especially if you’re on Windows. Twinmotion, D5, Enscape, etc are all ‘real time’ rendering apps/extensions and they allow for quicker visual confirmation of your design, lighting, etc moves as well as quicker output as you don’t need to raytrace every pixel.
Lastly, are you a sole proprietor? You say you do ArchViz for work…can your clients supply better base model information before you start the Viz process? Do you work with colleagues that you can split the work load with? Have you looked into templates, purchasing asset packs, etc to help speed up your process?
See how many questions we have to ask without more information from you?
