At long last ! After months of nudging someone finally flicked a switch and the welcome-screen doesn’t load [if it’s switched off in preferences] and, better still, no more annoying AI ads etc…

Did you click start modeling?
I did. opened a new document. Quit. Restarted sketchup and the message did not reappear. Thank you for addressing this!
