Does anyone know why the perspective view in LayOut changes the scale of the edge lines when I change the view from raster to either vector or hydrid? I think it’s a weird bug or something that I can’t resolve.
I’ve uploaded some images showing the issue. First image is raster and the second image is hybrid.
When we’ve seen this in the past it’s been because the model is positioned a great distance from the origin. Check to see if that is the case. If so, move the model close to the origin and update the scene accordingly.
What version of SketchUp? Please complete your forum profile.
I moved the model back to the origin point and updated the LayOut file. It worked but it has that weird transparency thing happening.
The model was created by one of my students and they sent me the LayOut file to look at. This is what I’ve been using. I’ve emailed them to ask if they created the model in an older version of SU. I am aware of the bug in the past that was showing the hidden lines.
The model is still placed at a great distance from the origin relative to the camera to subject distance. This is in the SketchUp model. Note the coordinates of the corner of the plasterboard.
After moving their model to the origin they will need to correct and update the scenes before updating the LayOut file. They’ll need to do this for both SketchUp files.
I’m still puttering witth the LayOut file but that should help get your student going.
Edit: I cleaned up the LayOut file after purging the SketchUp models and the LayOut file. This reduced the file size by about 94%. The student might need to refine the sscenes a little but they should be able to work with this.
