When I try to open my file I’ll see this pop-up “File not found or invalid”. I use the newest version of Sketchup Pro on my Mac. I won’t see a solution in all the other topics. Please help me to recover this file for work
Where have you been saving the file while you were working on it?
The backup file you shared is nearly half-filled with zeroes. Nothing to recover from it. Can you share the working file instead?
Your profile says you are using SketchUp for Schools which is a web based version for school children. Please correct your profile.

Unfortunately it looks to have the same problem.
Are you sure it’s being saved to the desktop and not to a cloud or network location?
I don’t know why it happens. Typically we see this with files saved to external locations.
I was able to recover something from your model, after all. I noticed a lot of incorrect tag usage and plenty of unused content to purge. I’ll share the file as soon as I get it uploaded to DropBox.
