JUst installed free trial of SKPro. It’s version 17.3.116. I cannot open files sent by someone else because they were created in 21.1.298. Used Check for Updates and got message saying have have the latest version of Sketchup. What to do? I need to access those newer files. thanks
Older versions of SketchUp cannot open files from newer versions (there are about 4 years of file changes between your version and the version the model was saved in). Can you ask whoever sent the file to you to save down to 17? That would be easiest.
You can download sketchup 2021 and use the free trial of the newest version, I think.
yes realized i already had an older version that opened instead of the newer i had downloaded. all set with 2021. thanks for your help.
