Uninstall SketchUp

How do I uninstall SketchUp on my mac?
I have problem to get Enscape in my SketchUp, the support on Enscape/Chaos tell my to uninstall SketchUp and Enscape an install again.
Shall I just throw the folders with SketchUp and empty trash or is there any other way?

Yes, you can throw them to trash or using software as Clean my Mac. I would reboot the mac before the next instalation.

I abhor rebooting, but it’s happening more on Mac than it did 20 years ago…
If you don’t want to reboot:
• clear out ~/Library/Application\ Support/SketchUp\ 2024/,
• delete the plists in ~/Library/Preferences/ that have com.sketchup*.2024.plist (SketchUp, LayOut, StyleBuilder),
• delete /Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.sketchup.*.2024.savedState
• delete /Applications/SketchUp\ 2024

And you’re probably good without rebooting.

Macs benefit from a regular reboot, and they are really quick relative to other machines. They even reboot to the state you left them if you desire.

Thanks for your answer. I reboot quite often, as you say they like to be reboot.

As a user of NeXT since 1989, they do not ā€œlikeā€ to be rebooted, only IT admins like you to reboot. If you require a reboot, it’s poorly designed. It’s why the command uptime exists.

Who’s the IT admin here? I also had my hands on early NeXT and BeOS hardware back in the early 90s when we were working on the transition to OS X … super fun times. I think I have a couple of those still sitting around that they sent us
