Hi! I’ve been working on this file and when i tried to open it today, it gave me an ‘Unexpected file format’ error.
The file turns into an empty file when i click on ‘Ok’. I have no idea what caused this and how i can fix it…

Your file opens ok for me. There were things we fixed in SketchUp 2024 that would let some files open, that failed to open in the earlier version. It looks like you are using the original 2024, you should update to the current version, and then the file ought to open for you as well.

FWIW, it wouldn’t hurt to clean up your model once you have upgraded SketchUp 2024 to the current version.
I purged unused stuff from the file and reduced the size of the excessively large textures. That reduced file size by about 80%.
After I restarted my computer the file opened again. So I guess it just had something to do with my computer. But thanks for the tip! Just updated my SketchUp.
