Unable to sign in on iPad app

I’m having this same issue. Keyboard is turned off. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No joy.

Cannot get passed the legal stuff. Any other ideas?

Same, cannot get past the “The Legal Stuff…” popover.

We’re checking into the issue. It appears to be related to another problem on one of the web pages on sketchup.com, which should mean it can be fixed on the server, and not need an update to the iPad app.

Hi! Fellow IPad user here, also having trouble getting pass the “The Legal Stuff” check boxes. Is there an estimate on when this server issue would be fixed?

No estimate, but quite a lot of people are discussing it internally, and a developer is attempting to fix the problem right now.

Hello, as @colin noted, there are teams working on addressing the issue. We’ve identified what we believe to be the root cause and are working on a server side fix now. The issue status can be tracked here https://status.sketchup.com/, however we’ll also post in this thread when we have a working fix.

Update about this…

It is starting to look like we have to work around the problem with an app update. Some time soon, hopefully, I will have a build I can test to see if it gets past the problem. After that there is some amount of submission time to Apple. I should be able to tell you when the app is submitted for approval, and when it is approved.

Also looking for a solution to this—just downloaded on iPad since I’m traveling without laptop and need to work. Tried the uninstall, keyboard thing, etc., can’t get beyond “Legal Stuff.” Fingers crossed for a quick resolution.

Hey everyone, I have the same problem. On my iPad updated to the latest version iPadOS 18.6.2, it won’t let me accept the terms and conditions. I’m attaching a video of the issue. Let’s hope for a quick fix! :slight_smile:

I understand that you are working on the isssue, but this is a service that i pay for and now its been unavailable for two days. I use this software in the planning of a new house and now i cannot do my part of the work where i promissed to send measurements of the house and therefore we are delayed.

I do expect more than this when users are completely unable to login to the apps.

I do understand that it is possible to use a desktop computer, but its not that easy without Apple Pencil.

When can we expect this to be sorted out?

We have a fixed version. That will be submitted to Apple this morning. Sometimes they are quick at approving submissions, we’ll see.

Same here I’m trying to work on something at the moment quite frustrating. I don’t suppose the fix will be ready for this weekend?

The new app was submitted this morning. Have not yet seen a review from Apple, but, we have simultaneously been attempting to fix server related issues, to solve the issue in a different way. There seems to have been progress on that.

If any of you would like to test if things are better, delete the app, and reinstall the existing one from the App Store. For me, that now lets me get past that screen.

Good afternoon, apologies again to everyone for the issue with logging in. Sometimes things are fixed in one area of the app’s infrastructure (in this case improvements to our email communications tracking) and they result in an unforeseen consequence such as this one.

As of now we have a server side fix which should prevent any new users from getting put into the looping state with the legal stuff page. For users already stuck in the looping state, I just released a patch version (7.1.1) which should resolve the issue and prevent it from happening again. Please update to this version if you are currently in a looping state. No need to uninstall the app as that puts your files at risk of being deleted.
