What is it you’re planning to model?
Trim carpentry and built-ins, such as crown moldings, wainscot work, and so forth….
OK. So a couple of things you might consider. First, before you start running moldings around rooms, get a grip on saving molding profile components. If you make your own components, use the Components panel to save them. You can create a local collection for them and then drag their thumbnails from In Model to the collection. If you are making a bunch of profiles you can save the whole lot as a local collection.
Next, if you’re running multiple moldings around a room or you might need to change a molding later, make a path that you can save. Quick example.I traced the inside of the walls and moved that straight up. That path doesn’t get consumed in the Follow Me process as it would if the path was in the same context as the profile and they were touching and it’s easier to select than the edges of the walls themselves.
You need to go to The Learning Center and to The SketchUp You Tube Channel. Pay attention to the Square One Series. Both are sponsored by the SketchUp Crew and well worth the time spent there.
Wow! Nice work and concept for execution. Thanks.
Thanks.
