Trouble with Offset

Trying to use Offset has become a real pain recently. I have been using SKU since its Google days. Normally, draw a square, make it a component, click on Offset, and give that square a frame.

Now, after clicking on Offset, I only see the arrow and the partial semi-halves, but not the red square.??

Are you opening the component for editing before using Offset?

Dave, thanks for your quick response. Everything is OK now.. Trouble may have been between my ears.
