Trays/Panels/Palettes.......Oh my

Hello all…I happened to be taking a 3 day seminar online during this downtime and self-isolation. I hope all of you are staying safe and are well…

So during this seminar I have noticed a very nice feature that I have not seen before. It is being shown to us in Windows and I do use both Windows and Mac. So ideally I would like to be able to do this on both. I am greedy that way.

The feature I saw was as follows…the Trays/Panels/Palettes off to the right side of the screen were not necessarily all there, but they were. Instead of them being a long continuous scrolling entity if you have them all on, they were set onto 3 tabs so that you didn’t have to scroll anymore. I like that idea…is there a plug-in available that will help to achieve this? It would possibly be a good idea for toolbars or certain toolbars to help categorize them and possibly move them to a second screen without taking up the whole screen.

Just some new ideas or thoughts I have…

Try: [menu]Window->Manage Trays and add a tray, (re)name one or the default, check which panels it contains, etc.
We always start with explaining the UI and customizing it…

Why did you delete this???

But I do think there is something out there that will convert the long vertical streamer of panels into an organized set of tabs, much like what photoshop does.

Please take a look at the attached image…

look at the right hand side…you will notice that these have been tabbed…

I deleted it because I apparently misunderstood what you were asking for.At least based on @MikeWayzovski’s reply. The tabs thing at the bottom of the tray is a native part of SketchUp on Windows.
