Hello, I have upgraded from SketchUp Pro 2020 to 2023 recently. Since then I have to go to View - Toolbars to add tools that I use regularly. When I log out and log back in, they disapper and I have to repeat the process.
All I did was accept the upgrade. Do I need to do anything in the bacground settings to keep them visible?
download the installer from sketchup.com/download/all Then close SketchUp, right click on the installer, choose Run as administrator, and then Repair. After it completes, do a cold reboot of your computer. Open SketchUp and set up your toolbars. Next open a model file and save it. After that close SketchUp and reopen it. Did the toolbars stay where you put them?
It appears they’ve changed the installer but using Run as administrator shoud set the permissions so that SketchUp can write to the file that saves the toolbar positions.
Hi Dave, thanks for your help. I’ve just downloaded the latest version of SketchUp and the issue has been resolved so I did not have Run as administrator.
