Toggle Tags in Linked Sketchup Web File

Hello,

I am generating SketchUp files for a production home builder. We are working to divide our houses into sections called cartridges which can be assembled off-site in a factory, shipped to our site, and then assembled into a complete home.

The goal is to have the SketchUp files I create linked to our factory employees via a SketchUp Web link. Our employees could then use that link as shop drawings for constructing our cartridges.

I have a house file with thirty cartridges that are all isolated in thirty different Scenes. The various elements of the house–windows, subfloor, floor trusses, temporary bracing, etc.–are separated out into Tags.

Using the Sketchup Web link, our factory employees can easily navigate to each individual cartridge via Scenes. They cannot, however, toggle the Tags to hide and show the various elements like the subfloor or wall sheathing which is a vital feature for this workflow to be viable.

I have already seen pointed out in several forum posts that Scenes can be used to curate tag visibility for Sketchup Web links. With thirty cartridges and more than twenty Tags for various elements, creating a Scene for each conceivable combination of visible elements for each individual cartridge would yield a single file with thousands of scenes, or thirty individual cartridge files with hundreds of scenes… Obviously, neither of those is desirable.

Additional considerations:
I do not want the file to be shared in a way that is editable.
Sharing the file in a way that preserves the Zoom, Orbit, Pan, Scenes, Tags, and Measure features is necessary.
SketchUp licenses cannot be procured for each user of these shared files; our factory employees are often subcontractors that rotate in and out with frequency.

TLDR: Please enable the ability for users to toggle Tags when viewing a SketchUp Web link.

Best,

-R
