Thoughts on ConDoc Tools or suggestions for alternatives?

This is more of an “advice wanted” / “how do I?” type of post, rather than specific technical questions.

My current problem/challenge is: finding an easier way to generate a complete “Interior Design Set”, beyond the straightforward Sketchup-Layout pipeline. There are many disadvantages, which I’m sure I don’t need to get into, we all know what they are.

I started out doing random design for products and such, but now our business is growing and it’s time to scale up / streamline the system. I need a more planned and industry-standard approach, one that generates the typical floorplans, elevations, section views, closeups, door schedules, etc.

I found ConDoc Tools and I’m considering it. Would love to hear personal opinions from anyone who has actually used it for a while - pros, cons, pitfalls.

It’s $ 400 / year so I’m not jumping into it unless it’s good. Also I’m just working 14-hour days trying to keep up with projects, it’s very hard to find the time to just experiment with new software.

Also, would love to hear about any other options / alternatives / methods.

Tried it. Even had a personal demo after meeting with @mikebrightman at a BaseCamp or builder’s show. (Mike is awesome).

It hindered my workflow, didn’t click with me. BUT it made me realize I could optimize my templates and streamline my models and process.

YMMV of course. You might want to post some examples of what you are doing to get better feedback.

IMO there is no ‘automated’ way to do anything well. Custom design is custom design.

I am looking at the 5d+ stuff though. But I also don’t have time to reinvent how I work.
