Thanks for the idea. Only works on a per view basis though. When I close and reopen same email itâs back in Japanese again. This problem started after Win11 update. Visited Win setup for language, must have got switched to other language for some reason during MS update. Literally wasnât in position to see what setting was and just found English and clicked on it. Appears other new email arrives in English will have to wait for another email from SU to verify.
itâs just that the language is in the url. so for some reason the email you got has a japanese url.

by default, the url has nothing at the end, and itâll display in your language. but if you manually change language at the bottom, the ?hlf=something
is added.
I was wondering similar thing about it being Japanese embedded link in email. Other odd bits still arrive in Japanese. I have to hunt and peck all this out on on-screen keyboard. Whew!
I suppose Iâll have to call MS Monday to let them see if can figure out. Meanwhile below is what I found poking around. Maybe if youâre curious enough to see lf you get same results. mandrill is just the tool they use to manage their mass emailing.
the massive link youâre sharing is simply a tracker to know if you clicked on the link in the email, and how long you stayed there.
itâs pretty basic mass emailing / newsletter stuff.
I think the only weird part here is that for some reason, you got the email as if you were Japanese or Korean. maybe due to a VPN, maybe due to a glitch, maybe the person who liked your model was from thereâŚ
If I didnât share the âmassive linkâ it wouldnât have worked. The problem is Iâm just a user and donât what belongs or not. Mandrill by itslf sounds like a good hack to me, it doesât show any association to SU from my point of view. Iâm passing the info on to people that should know and want to help to resolve but just get my nose rubbed in it like itâs my fault, now I know what it is but wouldnât have even seen if I hadnât tried to furnish you with the link. If I didnât inform, if weâre still kicking this around some time from now and I then mention mandrill and it turned out to be a problem youâd be all over me why didnât you tell us this sooner?

Yeah wierd, worked fine 2 weeks ago and havenât changed anything my end and all of a sudden I receive 3 notifications at same time from SU all in Japanese. If sender was from Japan I would hope SU would know or be setup to do the correct translation into recipients language (I would think it was). As I replied earlier I donât need or use VPN. A glitch is likely and it started with SU. SU is far from perfect or what did you guys do?

well since youâre the only one afflicted, Iâd say the issue lies closer to you . something somewhere caused the server to thing you need to be addressed in japanese. go figure.
any way. Iâve seen SU employees take point in your other thread, this one should be considered as closed to avoid future confusion.

I know you are aware I donât use VPN as I told you so. I also told you I know nothing of mass emailing so youâre not surmising youâve been informed by me personally.
I to googled mandrill to find out what it was before responding to your post, I donât care whether you use it or not but it did pop as a link and wasnât sure if it was a hack and didnât want to risk it getting deeper if it was a hack.
You donât work for SketchUp? It does say right next to your username that you are a SketchUp Sage. Do you know who you work for?

Because there is an issue that only affects me or as you said âthings meâ that you, as a whole but I am aware and know of those that are trying to actually help, canât resolve so itâs my fault and youâre going to throw me out in the cold to resolve on my own? Thanks a lot, that really takes responsibility so yeah go figure. I canât send Japanese emails to myself from SketchUp so how am I closer and creating the issue?
