Texture/Material imports are desaturated

But “Original Color.png” looks good in forum post:
http://forums.sketchup.com/t/texture-material-imports-are-desaturated/24073/5

AND when used as a texture in SketchUp:

… so I quote myself:

Dan, the “Original Color.png” was just a screenshot, not the working file. I took the working file, exported as a .png instead of .jpg and ran into the exact same problem when I imported it into SketchUp.

I think Barry might be on the right track as both my working files and the sample files I’ve attached here that have given me problems have been run through either Photoshop CC or Affinity Photo, both of which will attach Color Sync or Color Management profiles. I’ll have to fuss with those to see if I get anything from them.

if you attach a zipped folder with copies of the psd, jpg and png then we all might be looking at the same thing?

and I will also chip in that jpg should be the last choice if your after quality…

use psd or tiff as you import source…

Hi, I don’t know if this is still relevant now, but it might be helpful to future Google searches regarding this topic.
This happened to me also and I was able to solve it by setting the GL capabilities to its max.

open Window > Preferences > OpenGL
