Templates Path Error

I recently upgraded my computer and re-installed Sketchup Pro 2020. The new computer used a different syntax to describe my user name so I had to go into Preferences to correct each path with the new user name, however, the Templates path is not editable. Is there a way to correct the Templates path so that I do not get an error notice every time I open Sketchup?

Thanks!

As I recall, when we’ve seen that sort of thing before it has been due to incorrect installation of SketchUp. Find the downloaded installer, right click on it, choose Run as administrator and when the option appears choose Repair.

The filepaths are in a .json file in the user appdata,

Its a hidden folder and called PrivatePreferences.json

%AppData%\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp\

Close SketchUp, first.

If deleted, SketchUp will create a new upon startup and other settings might be lost.

The should be:

%LocalAppData%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp\

Are you saying I can edit this file?
Thanks.

I will try that.
Thanks.
