Tape measure dot

Why sometimes this happens? I set the measure I need but it wont show the dot.

You need the + sign at the ‘Tape Measure’ cursor (Ctrl toggles it off/on).
And you need to start measuring from an endpoint or an intersection.
Measuring from an edge gives you a guide, not a guidepoint (dot?)
