I admit my V-Ray skills could use a lot of work, but I am having the hardest time getting natural light to this area of the ceiling. Are there any settings or adjustments I can make to this specific area? I tried isolating it in Photoshop but it was not successful.
Generally if you want the ceiling to appear lighter you need to aim some light in its direction.
Make sure you don’t have reversed faces exposed.
Thank you. I actually looked at the material in the V-Ray editor and for some reason the material was changed to a glass. No clue why it happened but when I fixed it the ceiling color began to show.
What I’ve done in the past is to use a rectangular light facing upwards set to “invisible” in the AE with a low brightness.
