SU17 - how to download from 3D warehouse for versions before SU19

How can I download from 3D warehouse for my Sketchup Make 17.3?

From Warehouse not responding - #21 by Lyricdancer I learned that the 3D Warehouse does no longer work. I do find proper models from the website. But I do not see those as the original version, but as a converted download from SU19 on. How do I download an original model or a converted one for my SU17?

Use the search option of the forum.
One way of doing this is to use SketchUp Free to search and open from the Warehouse. Save and download your model to your computer as a 2017 .skp file and open in Make 2017.
