SU 2026.2.242 will no longer let you select a Follow Me shape from within a group outside the context of a preselected Follow Me path.
This has worked in the past and has the advantage of the Follow Me shape ending up being in its own group automatically.
I’ve created a simple example in the attached “Follow Me Group Edit Bug.skp” file.
There are labels in the model that hopefully make it clear what Follow Me shape I’m trying to create.
If I select the follow me circle path at the model origin, Activate Follow Me, and then try to right click on the Follow Me group to “Edit Group” to gain access to the Follow Me shape within the group, SU no longer lets me edit the group while Follow Me is active
I’m working around the issue by pre-exploding the Follow Me shape group so it ends up being raw geometry. Follow Me then lets me select the raw geometry face as it’s Follow Me shape, which creates the tube object shown as all raw geometry.
And yes, I know I can just select all the newly generated Follow Me shape geometry and put it into a group, but that used to happen automatically when you selected a face from with in a group to begin with.
As I said above, this used to work and was something I did regularly so that the Follow Me created shape was in it’s own group. It appears that SU 2026.2.242 has a new Follow Me bug. I do not know when the Follow Me bug showed up in 2026, but I tried SU 25.0.659, and it worked as expected. I do not have access to any previous versions of SU 2026 without going through a whole new installation process.
