Stretching a Hip Jack Rafter

I wanted to try a method of bringing these jack rafters up to the hip that I haven’t used before --board stretching.

I am successfully selecting the edges and face of the top cut of this hip jack, and using the move tool to lengthen along the pitch of the jack, but I can’t get the lengthened jack to snap to the hip when I reach it’s edge. Is this not possible or do I need to do this differently?

Paul, first put in a guideline along one edge of the jack rafter that intersects with the edge on the hip. Then follow it up with the Move tool (hold Shift to lock it’s direction ) and snap to the intersection of the guide and the hip.

You’re very fast… I shall follow your instructions. I know you told me about this method. Thanks!
