Hi All. I’m new to this community. Question about saving sketchup files. I will be using my models created in sketchup to 3D print. My printer requires the extension to be in .stl . I have downloaded/updated and enabled the .stl extension offered.
Questions: 1) how do I convert my files into .stl format, 2) how do I save? Thank you.
You don’t “convert” your file to .stl format. You keep the file as a .skp, and export a .stl version of it from within SketchUp. The export process includes a “save as” dialog that will let you choose the name and location of the exported .stl file.
