I can’t login anymore with Skecthup make 2017 and sketchup 2026.
It seems the program starts, but there is nothing happening any further.

What has changed in your setup? Logging in is different in v.2017 and 2026.
Nothing was changed, I think. I could use both next to each ohther.
OK. To solve this you’re going to have to give more detail than you have. Let’s tackle these one at a time, starting with 26. You have a current paid subscription? When you start up do you get a welcome screen? It sounds like it worked before for you, have you tried logging g out and logging back in? Tell us more.
What model number is the graphics card?
I just started Sketchup 2026. I get the welcome screen. I choose “start modelling”, then I choose a template ‘meters’. The screen go away and then I get nothing more. I think the programming is ruining in the background. When I tried to install a new version of sketchup 2026 via academic software, it says after a while that I must uninstall the other software.
Nvidia Geforce MX130.
It worked good before.
Put that in your forum profile.
It doesn’t look like that ancient graphics card will support the graphics requirements for SketchUp 2026.
Uninstall SketchUp 2026 and all traces of it. If you have a legitimate subscription you could install SketchUp 2024 and try that. It doesn’t have the same graphics card requirements of newer versions.
It worked well on that graphics card before. The sketchup make 2017 also does not work anymore. There was recently a Windows 11 update.
But you said:
Update the graphics drivers directly from nVidia and restart your machine. Windows likely installed less than ideal drivers during the update.
Add the model number of the GPU to your forum profile.
The nvidia driver now is 419.71. I started the update from nvidia. Version 518.80 should be installed. But after a while I get the warning that the driver couldn’t be installed. I had to reboot the system then.
Contact nVidia support about that. According to them the MX130 hasn’t been supported for a while and may not be capable of being updated but they should be able to tell you for sure.
419.71 is definitely very old. Searching with the MX130 brought up the one I showed in my screenshot. If that doesn’t work, all the versions between the one you have and 581.80 are still available to try.
I tried some older drivers but the installation stops after a while with the notification that the software can’t be installed.
Is it possible that the application is offscreen? Did you have more that one display attached in the past?
Now, just one screen. This morning I started Sketchup 2026. It starts, I choose “start modelling”, then “meters”. Sctechup screen disappears and the laptop freezes. Ctrl alt del does’t work and I have to reset the laptop (5 sec on the start button).
Sounds like your Windows installation might be messed up or some hardware is not supported by Windows 11 or SketchUp 2026..
Sound like you’ve got bigger problems than just SketchUp tbh.
Have you got free space on your main C:/ drive?
The laptop is just working fine under windows 11. Even sketchup 2026 and sktechup make 2017. Until 14/01. Then there was a windows11 update (security update). After that the problems started with the two sketchup versions. All the rest works fine.
