Vray materials show as checkered (not showing) in model

Hi, I’m learning to use VRay. When I go to update a material (add a reflective coat or change to local space bump) the item in the model goes checkered like its an error (see image - checked material is white with a reflective coating added). But it shows appropriately in the render. What is causing this? [Screen Shot 2023-03-09 at 2.28.01 pm] Also the stove I imported from Chaos looks is transparent in the model. I glanced at it, and it doesn’t say much! But, main thing to know is that it’s a normal issue. @mihai.s may be able to give the solution.
