I used sketchup years ago when it was a google product. I stopped using it when it changed so that it no longer worked in wine on a linux system. I have a windows 10 laptop these days, so I figured I’d resume using it. I live in a remote cabin in the woods with no internet available except for a limited amount of tethering data on my phone. I’m not sure this web based crippleware will really work for me, and $695 for some software to do home projects is just unreasonable.
Can anyone tell me how to make this work without an internet connection?
Why don’t you just use SketchUp 2017 Make? As long as you are using it for non-commercial stuff, it’ll work fine.
