Smooth outer lines - how do I i make this a smooth curve?

You can smooth those vertical edges.

Select the Eraser tool then click the Ctrl key (PC) or Option key (Mac) to change the tool behaviour from Erase to Smooth.

You can also select everything and on the soften smooth edges tray tick the both boxes and increase the angle.
