Slicer5, cant make my terrain to a manifoldsolid

Hello, I am trying to make this terrain into a solid so i can use the slicer5 extension. Following this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Pxl0pjOkW0&list=PLEQT0qjXe6zi7B-uOM1Ji1HFV5GmuWHHc&index=2 I tried to use the fredo joint push pull method like in the link, but i do not have border option as in the video. I guess its in the paid version, I am only using trial.
I then tried to create a rectangle and intersect (with selection) the terrain and the rectangle but my laptop keeps crashing. I am aware the terrain is really huge so i gave it a lot of time, i left my laptop untouched while it was intersecting but even after an hour it didnt intersect. Any alternatives please. I also tried intersecting with model but it didnt work as it didnt transform to a solid.

There are extensions that can help you with this but here’s a native method.

Draw a rectangle under the terrain and make it a group or component.
Use Drape from Sandbox tools to drape the terrain onto the rectangle.
Explode the rectangle and erase the unneeded parts of it. Explode the terrain group, too.
Use Push/Pull to extrude the flat face up through and above the terrain.
Orbit the camera to look at the extrusion from the side and drag a right to left selection window around the top. Press Delete, select the remaining geometry and group it. It should be a solid group or component at that point.

A slightly different method to get to the same point. After draping the terrain onto the rectangle group, remove the unneeded bits of the rectangle, explode the rectangle group (or do those steps the other way round), cut the reaining geometry (Ctrl+X), open the terrain group for editing, use Paste in place to paste geometry into the terrain group (I have a keyboard shortcut for that), then, as above.

solid

thank you dave for the help. I am very grateful
