Sketchup won't let me access my files

So this seems to be a recurring event, but it hasn’t happened for a few months now. So Sketchup won’t let me access my files. I get the attached error pop up. HOWEVER, for some ridiculous reason it will let me open 1 file if I log out, restart my computer and log back in. But just one and no more. And not the same one each time. It will let me open the first one I click on and then no others. I can’t for the life of me figure out why or how this could be happening. It’s incredibly frustrating as I’m working on about 6 projects at once and need to be able to access them in a timely manner. I’ve cleared my history/cache to no avail. Any suggestions?

I just started getting this message as well. I can open existing files, perform a ‘save as’ while in a model, but if I try to open another file, while in an existing one, the message appears. I checked and double-checked my licensing status and it’s active, and as for my subscription status, I’m not due to extend my subscription until next month. Highly strange and I too would love to know what’s wrong.

Everyone who has a subscription will see that message if they are signed in on two many versions of SKetchUp, or if it’s been more than 28 days since the last sign in. Signing out and back in again should make the message go away for another 28 days.

I failed to mention that I recently reinstalled my OS on my laptop and had to reinstall SU. In doing so, I released all instances on license usage via the ‘mange devices’ in the account management section through Trimble, so technically, I am back to only having one computer authorized, yet Trimble is saying I am not, due to this message?

Ok, on a hunch, I re-opened SU, immediately signed out, then signed back in. Opened a file, then tried to open another file, no more message. I thought it weird, considering I had released the licenses prior, so I guess it was a strange occurance. Everything seems ok now.
