Sketchup Web (free) - Seeking help to add roundover and chamfer to edges

Hey guys, I’m fairly new to Sketchup (web / free version) and despite doing a bunch of googling and YouTubing, I can’t find out how to add a roundover edge and chamfer to a couple of shapes I’m modelling - see attached. I’ve tried the FollowMe tool but can’t get it working. I’ve also tried manually shaping these but that doesn’t seem to work either.

All advice appreciated.

Follow me worked.

Follow Me will work fin on the desktop as you have things set up.

You could use Follow Me on the front edges of the leg although you’ll have a little cleanup to do at the top and bottom. Here’s the top of one corner. The others are similar.

Note I have a keyboard shortcut set up for Follow Me.

Rounding over the inside of the leg would be done in much the same way but you have to draw the arc on the inside. It can help to hide a face temporarily so you can get inside to click on the profile face.

Hey DaveR, thanks heaps for your advice. I’m getting mixed results at the moment so I’m still missing something, however, I’ve only had a few minutes to read through your reply and play with my model. I’ll try to find some time to play with FollowMe some more in the next couple of days and will let you know how I go (or if I’m still stuck!!).

Cheers Tony

Hey guys, thanks heaps for your advice. Got FollowMe working this morning. I think my problems were a combo of not setting up the profile correctly within the grouped (or component) object first. Anyways, just had a play and managed to get the roundovers and chamfer to work like I wanted. Thanks again!!

Cheers Tony
